HADITH: SAYINGS OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD

Chapter 11
Benevolence towards parents and relatives
1. Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (ر ) relates that the Holy Prophet (ص ) said: “May his nose be rubbed in dust, may his nose be rubbed in dust, may his nose be rubbed in dust (that is, may he be humiliated), who found his parents, one or both of them, approaching old age, but did not enter Paradise” (by serving them). (Muslim)
2. Hadrat Abu Muhammad Jubayr bin Mut‘im (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: “One who breaks ties with blood relatives will not enter Paradise”. (Bukhari and Muslim)
3. Hadrat Anas bin Malik (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: “Whoever likes that there may be abundance in his provision, and that his age be lengthened should be kind to his blood relations”. (Bukhari and Muslim)
4. Hadrat Baraa’ ibn Aazib (ر ) relates that the Holy Prophet (ص ) said: “A mother’s sister has the same status as mother”. (Tirmidhi)
5. Hadrat Abdallah ibn Umar (ر ) relates that the Holy Prophet (ص ) said: “Indeed, the noblest deed is that a person should be good towards his father’s friends”. (Muslim)
