Chapter 18
Generosity in Islam
- Hadrat Ibn Mas‘ud (ر ) relates that the Holy Prophet (ص ) said: There is no envy except for two: firstly, a person to whom Allah has given wealth and bestowed upon him guidance to spend it in a righteous cause, and secondly, a person on whom Allah has bestowed wisdom by which he judges and which he teaches. (Bukhari and Muslim)
- Hadrat Abu Hurayra (ر ) reported that the Holy Prophet (ص ) said: Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods but (real) richness is the richness of the heart. (Bukhari and Muslim)
