Chapter 21

Rights of Husband and Wife

1. Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: “A believing man should not hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her habits, he may find another habit in her which is pleasing”. (Muslim)

2. Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: “A woman should not (observe an optional) fast when her husband is present at home, except with his permission. She should also not permit anyone to enter his house without his consent”. (Bukhari and Muslim)

3. Umm Salamah (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: “If a woman dies while her husband was pleased with her, she will enter Paradise”. (Tirmidhi)
