THE KEY TO ISLAM
WRITTEN BY STUDENTS OF MADRASA AL-HIDAYA
INTRODUCTION
In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam).
Who: We all worked together to produce this book. Our names are Muneeba Chaudhry, Aibah Khan, Ali Ahmad, Zenaira Ali, Aisha Chaudhry, Amna Ahmad and Zena Chaudhry. Our ages are eight to eleven.
When: We started writing this book in July 1997 and finished it in July 1998.
Why: We started to write this book so more people turn towards Islam and learn more about Islam, and we enjoyed doing this.
What: We put lots of information in this book and mainly it’s about Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala) and his Prophets (Alayhimussalam). It’s about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam) and the five pillars of Islam. This book also contains information on the Qur’an and Hadith.
How: These are the steps to follow to make your own book like ours; this is what we did. First we the students shared our knowledge on a topic among ourselves. Then we told the teacher what we knew about that topic and the teacher made corrections where necessary and also told us something more. We put all this information together and each person wrote it out as a chapter. Then every body showed their written chapter on that topic to the teacher. The best one was picked and the teacher edited it. After that, it was typed on the computer by the student who had put it together, and it was returned back to the teacher. Once the first chapter was completed, we came to the second chapter, until the whole book was completed. Each one of us had at least one chapter selected as the best, so all of us shared in the honours.
We went through this work with passion and love because we love Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala) and his beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam). We did our work as a team. Writing a book is not as hard as people think. We put our best effort into this book.
Dedication: We dedicate this book to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala).
Research: We got our research from our parents, adults and books.
