Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

SALAWAT IN QASIDA
By: Imam ‘Ali bin Muhammad al-Habshi, Naf‘an Allahu bih

The opening verse of this qasida is:

YAA RABBI SALLI ‘ALAA MUHAMMAD
YAA RABBI SALLI ‘ALAYHI WA SALLIM

 

Request: Please recite Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam after the name of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad, Allahumma salli wa sallim ‘alayh.

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
O Lord! Shower blessings on him and peace

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
the Most Noble Full Moon to have arisen in the universe

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
the Most Generous Inviter who calls to the Truth

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
the Chosen One, the Truthful, the Confirmed

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
the most delightful of all men in eloquence and truthfulness

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
the most virtuous of all men who with piety had certitude

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
who was generous and faithful by nature

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
who gathered in himself all the different noble attributes that were scattered

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
and make good and easy whatever hinders

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
and open any door of goodness that is closed

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
and his Family and whoever is linked to him

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
and his Family and whoever loves the Beloved Prophet

O Lord! Bless Prophet Muhammad ص
and whoever is tied firmly to his rope

Allahumma salli wa sallim ‘alayh
may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him
