4. Consecutive Verses Exclusively in Praise of Allah
Of the verses that end with the Name of Allah, and one or more of the other Asmā’ al-Husnā’, five consecutive verses are exclusively in praise of Allah. Let us obtain the barakāt (blessings) of knowing their meanings.
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Surely, Allah – He is The All-Sufficient, The All-Praised.
And if all the trees on earth were pens and the sea were ink with seven more seas added after it, the Words of Allah would not be exhausted. Surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise.
The creation of you all and the raising of you all (on the Day of Resurrection) is only like (the creation and the raising of) a single soul. Surely, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Have you not seen that Allah causes the night to merge into the day, and causes the day to merge into the night, and He has made the sun and the moon to serve, each pursues its course till an appointed time; and that Allah is All-Aware of what you do?
That is because Allah – He is The Truth and that which they call upon besides Him is falsehood, and that Allah – He is The Most High, The Most Great. (31:26-30)
