Chapter 20
Virtuous Women
- Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (ر ) relates that the Holy Prophet (ص ) said: A man marries a woman for four reasons: for the sake of her wealth, her family chain, her beauty or for her piety. So try to get one who is religious, may you be blessed. (Bukhari and Muslim)
- Hadrat ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn Al-‘Aas (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: The world is a useful place and the best part of this world is a virtuous woman (wife). (Muslim)
- Hadrat Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari (ر ) relates that Allah’s Messenger (ص ) said: Wearing of silk and gold has been made unlawful (haram) for the males of my Ummah and lawful for females. (Tirmidhi)
