DARS 17: THE BLESSED BIRTH OF OUR BELOVED HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD

Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam

In the words of my master, my grandfather, may Allāh make people benefit from him, when he explained what Allāh, The Exalted has said in the Holy Qur’ān:

Tāhā. We have not revealed the Qur’ān to you that you may be put to trouble.

(20:1-2)

My grandfather explained, may Allāh be pleased with him.

Allāh said to His Prophet: Tāhā. (20:1)

And who is Tāhā? The Chosen One, may Allāh bless him. And the name Tāhā is an indication of his perfection among his many perfections, may Allāh bless him and grant him peace.

Sayyidatnā Āmina (his mother), may Allāh be pleased with her, said that at the time of his birth, may Allāh bless him and grant him peace, the angels of Allāh, The Most Beneficent, came as well as As-Sayyidah Maryam (peace be upon her) and As-Sayyidah Āsiya (peace be upon her), and some of the Heavenly Host of angels, and from Paradise Sayyidunā Jibrīl (peace be upon him) and those with him to see the Manifestation of Muhammadiyya and the Muhammadan Light which was manifested.

Then, when he was born, may Allāh bless him, Sayyidunā Jibrīl took him in his hands and kissed him between his eyes and said to him: “You are Yāsīn. You are Tāhā. You are Hāmīm. You are the Patron of the souls of Muslim believers. You are their Protecting Friend”. May Allāh bless him and his Family and grant him peace.

And Allāh addressed him and said to him:

Tāhā. We have not revealed the Qur’ān to you that you may be put to trouble. But as a Reminder to him who fears (Allāh). (20:1-3)

Allāh had already forgiven him everything, what came before and what was to follow, may Allāh’s blessings and peace be upon him, and he was protected from sins, as are all the Prophets. Even so, he exerted himself in the worship of Allāh and stood to pray at night for so long that his feet got swollen.

So Allāh, The Glorified and the Exalted, honoured him and said to him:

Tāhā. We have not revealed the Qur’ān to you that you may be put to trouble. (20:1-2)

Not to tire you but to make you reach your goal.

But as a Reminder to him who fears (Allāh). (20:3)

So, he came as the mercy from Allāh, The Truthful, The Glorified and the Exalted.

And As-Sayyidah ‘Āisha, may Allāh be pleased with her, said to him: “O Prophetic Messenger of Allāh! Why do you do this and tire yourself while Allāh has already forgiven you everything, what came before and what is to follow?” So he replied to her: “Shall I not be a grateful servant of Allāh? The day He blessed me, I adopted silence and took to thankfulness”. So, he established himself on thankfulness, may Allāh bless him. And he is the master of the thankful, the master of the witnesses and the master of all those who praise Allāh, may Allāh’s blessings and peace be upon him.
