DARS 30: TURN TO ALLAH IN OBEDIENCE
In the words of my master, my grandfather, may Allah spread his benefit, when he explained (part of) the (Hadith Qudsi) Sacred Saying narrated by Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Family, and grant him peace.
(Allah says): When a servant draws near to Me a span of hand, I draw near to him an arm’s length….. till the end of Hadith.
My master said, may Allah be pleased with him:
An explanation of the meaning of this Saying is that whoever does anything pious, his Lord will give him multiple rewards and honour. And every time he increases in obedience, his Lord increases his reward. Even if he is far off (the mark) because of weakness, his Lord will honour him for it and reward him. The intention is to turn to Allah as far as is possible for the people. The misfortune is to turn away from Allah.
And whoever turns away from My Reminder, then undoubtedly for him there is a life of hardship and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.
He will say, “My Lord! Why have you raised me up blind while before (in the world) I possessed sight?”
He (Allah) will say: Thus Our Signs had come to you and you forgot them, and in the same way you too are forgotten today. (Al-Qur’an, 20:124-126)
